Results of the selection process of the Calls ACC01, ACC02 and ACC03 within SK-Climate Programme

On 6th November 2020, the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the Programme Operator of the programme "SK-Climate - Climate change mitigation and adaptation" implemented within the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Financial Mechanism of the Kingdom of Norway in the 2014-2021 programming period, issued Decisions on the award of grants under the Calls ACC01, ACC02 and ACC03.

Calls ACC01 funded by EEA Grants and ACC02 funded by Norwegian grants titled as “Action plans for mitigation and adaptation implemented by local authorities in urban areas" (ClimaUrban), adressed to a Slovak cities with a population over 15 000 were launched on 29th November 2019 and were focused on support of the systematic planning and implementing of the climate change mitigation and adaptation measures in urban areas, which, together and for the public interest, contribute to the sustainable quality of life of the city population and the quality of the environment, in reaction to the negative impacts of climate change. Calls for proposals ACC01 and ACC02 were closed on 28th February 2020.

Under the Call ACC01, 7 project applications were submitted in total amount 9 358 745 EUR. The Programme Operator of the programme SK-Climate issued a Decisions on the award of grants for 3 project applications. 1 project is placed on the Reserve list for case of unallocated funds or reallocation and 3 projects have not been approved.

Under the Call ACC02, 8 project applications were submitted in total amount 11 021 818 EUR. The Programme Operator of the programme SK-Climate issued a Decisions on the award of grants for 3 project applications. 5 projects are placed on the Reserve list for case of unallocated funds or reallocation.

The Call ACC03 titled as “Awareness raising on climate change mitigation and adaptation at schools” (ClimaEdu), adressed to primary and secondary schools, was launched on 31th December 2019 and was focused on support educational projects to raise awareness on climate change mitigation and adaptation, based on soft measures accompanied with hard technical measures in schools and school campuses. The Call for proposals ACC03 was closed on 28th February 2020 and 123 project applications were submitted in total amount 5 296 786 EUR. The Programme Operator of the programme SK-Climate issued a Decisions on the award of grants for 28 project applications. 30 projects are placed on the Reserve list for case of unallocated funds or reallocation and 65 projects have not been approved.
