The SK-Climate Programme is entering the Project implementation phase within the ACC01, ACC02 and ACC03 calls
At the end of February 2021, the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the SK-Climate Programme Operator, concluded Project contracts with 6 cities and 28 schools, which succeeded in the selection process within the calls ACC01, ACC02 and ACC03. Thanks to the increased allocation for the ACC02 call, Project contracts are expected to be concluded with 3 other cities from the Reserve list during March - April 2021.
The SK-Climate programme, co-financed by Norway grants, EEA grants and the state budget of the Slovak Republic, will support 9 Slovak cities in the systematic planning and implementation of practical measures for climate change mitigation and adaptation in the amount of almost 12 million euros. 28 primary and secondary schools will share almost 1 million euros for the implementation of projects aimed at raising awareness of climate change mitigation and adaptation through theoretical and practical education.
An important part of the SK-Climate programme is the support of bilateral cooperation at the project level. The cities will involve a total number of 9 partners from Norway and 1 partner from Iceland in the implementation of their projects. 5 school projects will be implemented in bilateral partnership with entities from Norway.
