Matchmaking event FOR PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS

The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the Operator of the " Climate Change mitigation and adaptation Programme " (hereinafter also as "Programme SK-Climate") in close cooperation with programme partners from the donor states, the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), The Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning (DSB) and the Norwegian Environmental Agency (NEA), organize a second matchmaking event for establishment and development of bilateral partnerships for implementation of projects within the Programme SK-Climate.

Date and place of the event

The event will take place on 20 November 2019 in Stiavnicke Bane, Slovakia. The exact place of the event will be confirmed to the selected participants in due time.

Eligible participants

The target groups of the event are the primary and secondary schools from Slovakia and potential partners from the donor states. At the event, schools will have an opportunity to present awareness raising activities on mitigation and adaptation to climate change planned to be implemented by the school and submitted in an application for project within the SK-Climate Programme. Participants from Norway will also give short presentations.

Method and date of registration

For registration it is necessary to fill in the registration form using the predefined form published with this announcement. The registration form in MS .doc/.docx format shall be sent by e-mail to . A school can only submit one registration form. When submitting the registration form, the subject of the email should include "Registrácia - školy 2019". Registration for participation is open until 30 October 2019 (23:59 CET).

A school can nominate maximum two participants. However, the nomination of both participants is not mandatory. The travel and all other costs related to participation at the event of the nominated representatives from Slovakia must be borne by the nominating institution.

Number of places is limited. The Programme Operator reserves the right to select the nominated participants based on the information given in the registration forms while observing the order in which they were submitted (system FIFO = first in first out) as well as the representation of different schools. The applicants will be informed about the results of the selection process via email latest by 05 November 2019.
