Matchmaking event FOR MUNICIPALITIES

The Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic, as the Operator of the " Climate Change mitigation and adaptation Programme " (hereinafter also as "Programme SK-Climate") in close cooperation with programme partners from the donor states, the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE), The Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning (DSB) and the Norwegian Environmental Agency (NEA), organize a matchmaking event for establishment and development of bilateral partnerships for implementation of projects within the Programme SK-Climate.

Date and place of event

The event will take place on 29 October 2019 in the premises of the donor programme partner, the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate at Middelthuns gate 29, 0368 Oslo, Norway. The event will be held in English language.

Eligible participants

The target groups of the event are representatives of the Slovak municipalities with population over 15,000 inhabitants and potential partners from the donor states. The participants can be for instance representatives of the municipality management or the employees from the environmental, spatial planning, or international relations departments etc. At the event participants will be required to introduce the activities and measures planned to be implemented and submitted in the application for project within the Programme SK-Climate. 

Method and date of registration

For registration it is necessary to fill in the registration form in English language using a predefined form. The signed and scanned registration form must be sent by e-mail to bilateralnyfond@enviro.gov.sk. A municipality can only submit one registration form. When submitting the registration form, the subject of the email should include "Registration - Oslo 2019". Registration for participation is open until 09 October 2019 (23:59 CET).

A municipality can nominate maximum two participants. However, the nomination of both participants is not mandatory. The costs of the second nominated participant will only be reimbursed by the Programme Operator in the event of a residual financial allocation, otherwise the participation costs of the second participant must be borne by the nominating institution.

Number of places is limited. The Programme Operator reserves the right to select the nominated participants based on the information given in the registration forms while observing the order in which they were submitted (system FIFO = first in first out) as well as the representation of different municipalities. The applicants will be informed about the results of the selection process via email latest by 11 October 2019.
